Spring gardening for kids
Get out of the house and into a beautiful heritage space for some kōanga/spring gardening with your tamariki!
9 October 2021
10:30am - 12:00pm
Old St Paul’s/Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga is hosting a free indoor activity for children aged 5-10.
Over 90 minutes, the children will make their own wildflower seed bombs and learn about the best places to throw them. They'll also plant a kōwhai seedling (kindly donated by the Berhampore Nursery), find out how best to care for it, and where to grow it.
There’s also a great prize up for grabs! All those who register for the event will go in the draw to win a Gibson & Green Kids Croppers Grow Kit.
Please note, children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and it will be a good idea to have them wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty!
The class is capped at 15, so hurry and register today.
All Ministry of Health Covid-19 safety protocols will be in place.
